New American study on MOOCs

Columbia University has released last month a report on “MOOCs: expectations and reality” assessing the efficiency of Massive Open Online Courses in terms of educational outcomes. In terms of outreach and access, the report shows for instance that despite the wider range of learners participating in this type of distance learning, those target groups are already well-educated and that the gap is widening with those who would need it the most.
