LLinE new item: reflections on PIAAC and competencies for seniors
LLinE is a Lifelong Learning in Europe journal dedicated to adult education, a combination of a scientific journal and a magazine directed at the whole of the adult education field, bridging across the different sectors. One of the latest articles published deals with competencies in later life and offers a reflection on how the PIAAC survey grasps the phenomenon. German researchers explain how they investigated the different factors that make adults eager to seek for new learning opportunities and experiences, such as individual habits, social background or self-perception.
