Organisation of school time in Europe
Summer is over and it is time to go back to school. 15 countries participating in the Eurydice Network saw their children walk back to school this week. But in 10 countries pupils and teachers have already been back in the usual rhythm for several weeks. Indeed the timing of school year varies between different countries and regions more than you may imagine because of differences in culture, tradition, and climate. In two Eurydice special reports on the school and academic calendars, you will find information that shows how the year in European schools and universities is organised. The information is available for 37 countries.
