MEPs voted on amendments to “Follow-up on implementation of Bologna process”

Institutional news, News -

BP-EHEA-logo_smallThe overarching aim of the Bologna Process is to create a European Higher Education Area (EHEA) based on international cooperation and academic exchange that is attractive to European students and staff as well as to students and staff from other parts of the world. The challenge is to keep the momentum on the process and also to ensure the autonomy of higher education institutions. It is still not clear where the process is precisely going. At the CULT meeting on 23 and 24 March, among other things, MEPs voted on the amendments to “the Follow-up on the implementation of the Bologna process” by Rapporteur Krystyna Łybacka (S&D, Poland) and the draft report was adopted. The next Bologna Follow-up group meeting will bring together 47 EHEA delegations, the European Commission, as well as the Bologna Process consultative members and partners in Yerevan on 14 and 15 May.y
