Institutional news -

On 23 June 2015, the Employment and Social Affairs Committee of the European Parliament had an exchange of views with Vice-President Dombrovskis and Commissioners Thyssen and Moscovici on Country Specific Recommendations on the 2015 European Semester of economic policy coordination. These recommendations provide tailored advice to Member States on how to boost jobs and growth, while maintaining sound public finances. They also met to discuss a number of subjects and draft reports, three of particular interest for what concerns lifelong learning: “European network of Employment Services, workers’ access to mobility services and the further integration of labour markets“, “Creating a competitive EU labour market for the 21st century: matching skills and qualifications with demand and job opportunities, as a way to recover from the crisis and “Promoting youth entrepreneurship through education and training“. EUCIS-LLL will follow up with further information will be given as soon as possible.
