During the crisis, social enterprises have shown to be remarkably resilient, both in terms of economic outcomes and in maintaining and creating employment. Relatedly, social innovation seeks to improve and modernise the matching of skills and needs of employees and the needs of the workplace so as to simultaneously increase productivity and job satisfaction. The draft presented on 7 May examines how social enterprises and social innovation can contribute to creating the jobs the European Union urgently needs.
