EU budget talks moving forward, Erasmus+ may be adopted in Parliament plenary
The European Parliament Committee for Culture and Education voted on 5 November an informal agreement reached with the Council on Erasmus+ (see the S&D, the EPP and the Greens (FR) press releases). The Parliament should adopt the final text in plenary sitting on 19 November in Strasbourg if EU budget negotiations are not further delayed (the MFF should also be voted during the November session if the Parliament estimates conditions are fully met by the Council; one of them was a decent agreement on 2014 budget, reached this morning). The Council should then give a final approval before the official signature of the document and its public release, which conditions the launch of calls for proposals. The next European Social Fund that foresees many investment priorities in the field of education and training is also supposed to be voted in Strasbourg this month.
