Education and Training Monitor 2015: more investment needed for inclusive education!
The LLL Platform welcomes the publication of the fourth edition of the Education and Training Monitor that gathers the most recent quantitative and qualitative evidence on a number of issues related to ET 2020’s priority areas. Although the 2015 Education and Training 2015 shows progress in education attainment across Europe, “new and reinforced investment into education to ensure high quality open, supportive and tolerant learning environments for all” is needed says Tibor Navracsics, EU Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport. Indeed, early school leaving, under-achievement in basic skills and the under-representation of certain groups in tertiary education remain important challenges to the inclusiveness of our education systems. The Lifelong Learning Platform strongly supports the emphasis on investing in education and welcomes this call for an inclusive education.
