+APL “More Flexible VET Systems based on the Assessment of Prior Learning”

Validation of learning -

With the aim to overcome the negative effects due to lack of recognition, in 2004 the European Union established a set of common European principles for validating non-formal and informal learning. This is the necessary frame to promote comparability and acceptance of the differences between Member States, as well as the acceptance and transfer of the results to different environments.

The project +APL “More Flexible VET Systems based on the Assessment of Prior Learning”, supported by the European Commission (2012-1-PL1-LEO05-27424) takes a step further in this field and aims to transfer innovative methodology and tools for the validation of non-formal and informal learning successfully used and recognised in Portugal. +APL aims to implement these methodologies with groups of vocational educational training professionals in Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Poland and Spain.
