Policy debate: “Partnerships for LLL, a new idea?”

Past Policy Events -

The Commission’s Communication on “Rethinking Education: Investing in Education for better socio-economic outcomes” emphasises the need for a collaborative work with all relevant stakeholders as a “systematic part of the policy approach”. This priority is further developed in the accompanying Staff Working Document (SWD) on “Partnership and flexible pathways for lifelong skills development” which presents cooperation between different stakeholders, policy sectors and levels of governance as key for the efficient management of lifelong learning strategies. This policy debate, co-organised by the European Youth Forum, the S&D Group and EUCIS-LLL and hosted by MEP Katarina NEVEDALOVA,  was aiming at sharing ideas and experiences on how this partnership approach for lifelong learning takes shape at the grassroots level but also at national and European level. Civil society representatives presented three good practices that could inspire policy makers. Representative from the Lithunian Presidency of the Council, the European Commission, the EESC and BusinessEurope then provided some policy feedback.
